FAQ about File Storage, Data Security and Features
Yes. Your files are stored securely in certified data centers within the European Union and are accessible through your Files.fm account.
Each folder and file automatically receives a unique link with customizable access levels — Private, Link-only, Password or Public. If a file or folder isn’t set to Private, anyone you gave the link or password can view its contents.
You can manage privacy and access settings - for your entire account, or set individually for each folder and file.
Files.fm is built for professionals, teams and media creators who need a secure, reliable way to store, manage and share large files online. Your files are stored securely in Files.fm data centers within the European Union. Location depends on your account plan, storage tier and privacy settings.
By default, files are accessible through your Files.fm account. You can control access at account, folder or file level by setting content as Private, shared with selected users, accessible by link, password-protected or Public.
For link sharing, only people with the link can access the content, unless you make it private or add extra protection such as a password. For business use, Files.fm also supports user access controls, activity logs and team-level security settings.
You can upload, store and share any type of file — including documents, photos, videos, audio, archives and creative project files.
Files.fm preserves your files in their original size and quality. You can also select and upload multiple files at once, making it easy to transfer full folders, media collections or business documents.
Free accounts include basic upload limits, while PRO, TEAM and Business plans provide higher upload sizes, more storage and advanced sharing features.
